OBITUARY: John Robert Zornes

John Robert Zornes, 68, of Pittsburg, formerly of Girard, passed away at 6:35 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Golden Living Center of Pittsburg.
John was born June 4, 1947 in Girard a son of Johnny Wallace Zornes and Edna may Gates.
John resided in Girard and Pittsburg until entering the Golden Living center in 2012.
He attended schools in Girard, receiving a graduation certificate from Girard High School.
He was employed by Sauer’s Department Store and M&M Motors in Girard before retiring do to failing health.
John enjoyed automobiles; he was very knowledgeable about their history.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother, Freddy L. Zornes.
He is survived by one sister, Ruth Zornes and husband Steve of girard.
Graveside services for John Robert Zornes will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25 at the Girard Cemetery with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home of Girard. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00p.m., Monday.
