Benefit basketball game planned for Girard resident

Plans are underway for a benefit basketball game to be held Friday, Dec. 13 at Girard High School.

Kelly Short is a long time Girard resident and was recently diagnosed with Clarks level 4 Melanoma. He has recently become unemployed due to this situation. His wife Heather works at RVH and they have children at all levels in the USD 248 district.

Details have not been finalized, but items will be accepted for a silent auction. There are also plans for benefit t-shirts to be sold as well.

If any businesses in town would like to donate, or for more information please contact Kim Pitts at 620-704-5490 or by email at kpitts@girard248.org (you may call, text or email).  Items can be dropped off at the GMS office with Alex Childers during the school day or contact Kim Pitts directly to arrange a pick up.
