The St. Paul Lady Indians earned the two-seed after a coin toss in favor of Marais des Cygnes Valley, giving them the one-seed. Earning a bye the first round, St. Paul (17-2) will face three-seed Waverly (12-7) on Friday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. at Waverly. St. Paul holds the number eight ranking in all of 1A-1, while Waverly is ranked ninth overall. If St. Paul earns in the victory, they will advance to the championship game where they could face Marais des Cygnes Valley, four-seed Southern Coffey County, or five-seed Marmaton Valley. Marais des Cygnes Valley is the fourth ranked team in 1A-1.
The St. Paul boys’ team (5-14) earned a first-round bye with their three-seed, and will face off against two-seed Southern Coffey County (14-5) on Thursday, March 6 at 6:00 p.m. If the Indians advance to the championship game, they would face one-seed Marais des Cygnes Valley, four-seed Waverly, or five-seed Marmaton Valley. Marais des Cygnes Valley, 19-0, is the number-one ranked team in 1A-1.
