Obituary: Carol Ann Duvall

Carol Ann Duvall, 32, of Girard, died at 7:21 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at her residence in Girard.

Carol was born October 28, 1990 in Parsons, a daughter of William Kenneth “Kenny” and Jodee Lyn (Finley) Duvall. She grew up in the Walnut and Fort Scott areas and graduated from Fort Scott High School.

Carol served in the US Army and received her basic training at Ft. Jackson South Carolina before receiving her medical discharge.

She worked as a CNA in numerous area nursing homes and at a staffing agency. She was a sponsor for NA.

Carol was a member of Living Faith Church of the Nazarene at rural Girard. She enjoyed her kids, her family, and seeing to the needs of her many friends.

Survivors include her son, Izaiha Duvall of the home and her daughter, Braylynn Duvall, of the home; her mother and step-father, Jodee and Gary Valley of Girard; her brothers Aaron Duvall, and his wife, Christina, of Walnut, Derrick DeLange, and his wife, Caitlyn, of Girard, Eli Valley of Girard, Adairrius Valley of Girard, and Damon Valley of Girard; her sisters, Haylee Valley of Girard and Jaada Valley of Girard.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Duvall, and her grandparents, Jim and Carol Finley.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2023 at Living Faith Church of the Nazarene near Girard with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Walnut Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard where friends may call after 2:00 pm Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to her Children’s Education Fund or to assist the family with Final Expenses, and these may be left at the church or the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
