The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will begin placing an asphalt overlay on a 22-mile section of K-7 in Crawford and Bourbon counties on Monday, Sept. 16, weather permitting.
The road work starts at the north city limits of Girard and continues north and east to the U.S. 69 junction.
A pilot car and flaggers will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone; expect delays of 15 minutes or less through mid-October.
APAC-Kansas, Shears Division of Hutchinson is contractor on the $1.5 million project.
