Dorothy Marie Gray, 78, of Pittsburg, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg. She was born March 23, 1936, at Gower, MO, the daughter of George Franklin and Carrie Jane (Justice) Poage.
On October 24, 1959, she was united in marriage to Frederick Ronald Gray at Gower, MO. He survives of the home. Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Gower. She loved to camp, travel, volunteer, and bird watch but her family was the most important thing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ren’ee Robinson and her husband, Ted of Pittsburg and Kelly Cicero and her husband, Craig of Pittsburg, one son, Ron Gray and his wife, Amy of Girard, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two nephews, and her beloved dog, Bentley. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one niece. A service for Mrs. Gray is set for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, with Pastor Don Talent officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
