Zoneta Lee Matlock, 80, of St. Paul, died at 8:58 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul where she was a resident since April 3, 2020. Zoneta was born September 10, 1940 in Grove, Okla, a daughter of William Basel and Margaret Bell (Sawvell) Matlock. She grew up and attended school in Grove Okla.
Zoneta married Foster Fred Capps, II and he preceded her in death. She married Jimmy Starrette Anglin and he preceded her in death. Zoneta worked as a nurse aid and she was a Baptist.
Survivors are her sons, Foster Fred Capps, III of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Larry Jay Capps of Pittsburg Kansas, and Starrette Lee Anglin of Carthage, Mississippi; her surviving brothers and sisters, Jack, Mike, and John Matlock, sisters Hazell Pitcock, Elaine Williams, Connie Helm, and Janette Raver, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
Zoneta was preceded in death by her brother James Matlock, and sisters Louise Lewis and Deana Hawkins, infant son and a great-grandson, Isaac Cosper.
Zoneta has donated her remains to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas for anatomical study.
The Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard Kansas is in charge of arrangements.
