Warren A. Pike, 57, of Girard, died at 5:41 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2015, in the Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri where he entered on Wednesday after a sudden illness.
He was born October 14, 1958 at Girard, the son of Albert and Rosalie J. (DeMaire) Pike. Warren grew up and attended schools in Girard and attended Pittsburg State University.
Warren married Deborah A. Standlee on June 13, 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.
He helped his father at Pike’s Garage in Girard from 1966 until he purchased the garage and fertilizer business in 1991 and was currently operating the business.
Warren was a member of the First Christian Church in Girard, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Girard FFA Alumni, and a 57 year member of the SNPJ Lodge.
He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren, deer and bear hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid K State University football donor and fan, attending and enjoying the games and all the tailgating activities.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Debbie, of the home, are a daughter, Kassie Lynn Pike Steele, and her husband, Strider, of Dallas, Texas; a son, Christopher Warren Pike, and his wife, Patricia, of Girard; his mother, Rosalie J. Pike of Girard; a sister, Rosemary J. Mahoney of Girard; grandchildren Latricia, Matthew, Deanna, and Anthony Pike and Breckyn and Xander Steele; a nephew, Ryan Mahoney, and his wife, Katie, of Bethany, Oklahoma; a great-nephew Keon Mahoney.
Warren was preceded in death by his father, a brother-in-law, Paul Mahoney, and a nephew, Matthew Paul Mahoney.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Pastor Danny Childers and Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery near Pittsburg.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home where friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Monday.
