Wanda J. Williams, 89, of Pittsburg, formerly of Girard, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Medicalodge of Frontenac.
Wanda was born March 22, 1926 a daughter of Marion L. Geier and Vedah E. (Clugston) Geier.
She grew up in the Beulah area attending Cherokee Schools, graduating from the Crawford County High School.
Wanda was united in marriage to Donald R. Williams in Indianapolis, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1999.
She was employed in the clerical department of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and being involved in social gatherings.
Wanda is survived by a step-son, Frank Williams and wife Gina of Crawfordsville, Indiana, a step-daughter, Joanna Amich of Indianapolis, Indiana, six grandchildren, Kelsey, Caitlin, Kenny, Erin, Chris, and Alayna, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Wilma N. Jameson of Frontenac, twelve nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Wanda was preceded in death by one brother, Frank M. Geier.
Services for Wanda J. Williams will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Murray Belk officiating. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2:00 P.M., Wednesday.
