Dorothy M. Clutter, 93, of Girard, Kansas, died at 5:25 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Westridge Retirement Community in Girard.
Dorothy was born November 1, 1922 at Girard, a daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Dick) Campbell. She graduated from Girard High School in 1940 and the Normal Training Manual in Pittsburg.
Before her marriage, Dorothy was a school teacher at rural Girard.
She married Marvin L. Clutter on June 2, 1946 in Girard. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1990.
Dorothy worked at the US Census Bureaus in Parsons, Kansas and Pittsburg, Kansas.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Girard and a former member of a Home Demonstration Unit at Girard.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, home canning, and traveling.
Survivors are her sons, Melvin E. Clutter, and his wife, Mary, of Centralia, Missouri; Dennis R. Clutter, and his wife, Barbara, of Girard; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Steffens, and her brothers, Leonard Campbell and Floyd Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Pastor Dallas Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Thursday.
