Obituary: Alan W. Puffinbarger

Alan W. Puffinbarger, 70, of Girard passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 12:05 p.m. in the emergency room of the Girard Medical center. Alan Puffinbarger Photo
Alan was born October 12, 1945 in Girard, son of Asa W. and Juanita (Shaffer) Puffinbarger.  He attended school in Girard, graduating from the Girard High School.
On September 1, 1974 he and Kathie Redfern were united in marriage at Girard.  She survives of the home.
He worked twenty-seven years as a produce manager at Ron’s market and later was employed seventeen years at Heartland Electric.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Girard.  He enjoyed the outdoors and playing pool.

One great-granddaughter – Thea Collins,                                                        Fordland, MO
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ada Marlene Puffinbarger, on May 23, 1999;
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Smith-Carson—Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Bennett officiating .  Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery at a later date.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the H.V.M.
