Candi and Zach Adams will begin hosting their “Money-vation” Fitness Class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30am-6:15am at the Girard Activity Center beginning February 1.

A new and unique concept for a fitness class is starting next week in Girard.
Zach and Candi Adams are long-distance runners with a passion for fitness and a love for working out. Both have completed foot races of up to 100 miles in length which, as you would guess, require a lot of training and commitment. They also remember when it was hard to get motivated to get started on a regular training regimen.
This is where the idea first hit Zach for a new way to get people motivated to get in shape.
Zach explained, “What gets people motivated when the initial excitement and hype wears off? Money.”
They are calling their class “Money-vation,” a play on the idea of using money to get you motivated.
Zach said, “The concept is simple: You pay a $20 registration fee for the one month 12 session class, and make a $180 ‘down payment’ on your fitness. You show up, do your best, and at the end of each class I will hand you $15 cash back from your down payment. Show up for every session, the class only costs you $20. If you feel like you are too tired to get up or don’t feel like it, that’s fine, but it will cost you $15. This is the concept of ‘Money-vation.'”
The Adams family agrees that the class is great for men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
Candi Adams said, “You can go as fast or slow as you need to with each exercise, making it perfect whether you are working out for the first time or are a competitive athlete.”
She added, “As a registered nurse I have always had a passion for taking care of people, and since I have always enjoyed working out I think this is a perfect fit—I am really excited to help people reach their goals.”
The class will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5:30am-6:15am at the Girard Activity Center beginning February 1. It will consist of timed sets of body weight calisthenics, so no equipment is required other than a water bottle, towel and maybe a yoga mat.
Zach concluded, “If you are interested, register by emailing or calling me at zach@ckt.net or 620-238-1622, or just show up with your down payment ready to get to work!”
