Girard Library Board motions for appointment of new Director

The Girard Public Library Board of Trustees motioned for the appointment of a new Library Director to replace Terri Harley at their monthly meeting Tuesday, May 26.
The Board named current cataloging librarian Barb Bailey as the new Library Director, effective immediately.
Harley is to be retained as staff and kept at current rate of pay until August, at which point determinations will be made. Two board members were appointed to oversee the transference of keys and passwords to the new director.
The Board also elected its new officers, with Barbara Mikrut retaining her position as president, Edwina Staton named vice president, May Smith named secretary and Don Wymore named treasurer.
