Despite facing strong adversity from the Buffalos, Girard’s offense rolled through the first quarter to establish a 21-16 lead.
The Trojans stayed on top through the second quarter, adding 14 to their score, but Prairie View countered with 10 of their own to stay in the game.
With a 35-26 lead at the half, Girard still had their work cut out to secure the victory.
Prairie View stayed persistent in the third quarter, but the Trojans still managed to push their lead, outscoring them 11-9.
As the fourth quarter arrived, it became clear that Girard was not going to steal this victory with ease.
