Obituary: Donald F. Golob

Donald F. Golob, 73 of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away May 15, 2016 at his residence.
Donald was born September 14, 1942 in Girard the son of Frank and Lela (Toepfer) Golob.
He grew up in Girard and attended school through the eighth grade and later received his GED.
He joined his father in the farming operation following school and was later employed by the McNally Manufacturing Corporation of Pittsburg for eight years.

Donald is survived by two sisters; Elaine White and husband Don of Girard and Margaret “Maggie” Golob of Pittsburg, Niece Tina Dixon and husband Gene, Nephew Ron White and wife Linda, Great Nephews Graham and Joseph Dixon and a Great Niece Jackie White. Donald is also survived by several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Donald F. Golob will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home of Girard with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18 from 7:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home; friends are invited to call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to “Smiles from Jamie” through the Girard Medical Center Foundation and these may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Smith-Carson-Wall -Funeral Home at 518 W. St. John P.O. Box 258, Girard, Kansas 66743.
