Carolyn “Sue” Zwahlen

Carolyn “Sue” Zwahlen, 67, of Farlington, died at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.    Sue
Sue was born October 14, 1947 at Pittsburg, Kansas, a daughter of William and Hazel (Dalton) Morris.  She graduated from high school in Arma.
Sue worked as a sales representative at F.M.I., Perfection Forms, Apico Printing Company, and Print Excell, all of Girard.
She married Jerry Lee Zwahlen on April 29, 1995 in Hallowell, Kansas.  Jerry preceded her in death on August 21, 2009.
Sue enjoyed family gatherings and holidays with her family.  She also liked fishing, dancing, camping, playing cards, and listening to music.
Survivors include sons, Craig Johnson, and his wife, Kristin, of Girard, Wade Johnson, and his wife, Lori, of Girard, Jason Johnson, and his wife, Lorie, of Columbus, and Chris Johnson, and his wife, Amy, of Girard; grandchildren Lindsay Johnson, Katelyn Becker, and her husband, Justin, Shayla Johnson, Kamryn Johnson, Avery Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Brylie Johnson, Briggs Johnson, Kaitlyn Brodbeck, Tyler Johnson, Seth Johnson, Addison Johnson; great-grandson Blake Becker; her brothers Gary Morris, and his wife, Donnis, of Wichita, Linnie Duncan, and his wife, Beth, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sisters Helen Lane, and her husband, Charles, of Derby,  Sandy Rekow, and her husband, Dale, of Oregon; special aunt and uncle, Barbara and Karl Wicker of Arma;  step-son, Brian, and his wife, Ashley, of Utah; step-daughter, Sheila Mengarelli, and her husband, Greg, of Arizona and their families; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bruce Duncan and Bill Morris.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral home in Girard with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating.  Burial will be in the McGonigal Cemetery near Arma.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the “Joplin Miracle League” and these may be left at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
