Third Thursdays honors state champs

Girard’s first Third Thursdays event of the year was a special one and featured appearances by the Lady Trojans state champion softball team and track star Cailie Logue.
Logue and the softball girls were presented with special proclamations from Mayor Kurt Ziegler which proclaimed the month of May as the Month of Lady Trojans Softball and the day of May 27th as Cailie Logue Day.
Following the proclamations, the athletes stuck around for autograph signings and pictures with the Third Thursday-goers as the Living Faith Church band began their concert in the gazebo.
While enjoying the music, guests were able to do a little shopping at the vendor tables spread out around the square.
The next Third Thursdays event will be held July 20th.
