Mildred Kavanagh, 77 of St. Paul, Kansas passed away at 3:30 a.m., Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village of St. Paul, Kansas.
She was born May 15, 1941 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, a daughter of James Madison and Effie (Baker) Moon.
On February 13, 1972, Mildred was united in marriage to Merle Kavanagh in Corpus Christi, Texas; he preceded her in death on February 1, 2017.
Mildred was a homemaker, she loved to cook, bake and sew for her family.
She would search garage sales for items that others had told her they were looking for; it may be three years later but she would find it and buy it for them.
Survivors include; two sons; Bill Kavanagh and his wife Jane of Girard, Thomas Kavanagh and his wife Ann of Busch, Arkansas, three daughters; Janice Norris and her husband Stacy of Walnut, Kansas, Christi Bayer and her husband Lester, Tammy Blackburn and her husband Mark both of St. Paul, Kansas, three bonus children; Mike Kavanagh and his wife Pam of Pierce City, Missouri, Mary Franklin and her husband Bill of Girard, Kansas, Marcia Seims and her husband Dave of Navare, Florida, one brother; Wayne Moon, four sisters; Wanda Williams, Bonnie Shepherd, Erma Helms, Joyce Catron, twenty two grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Paul Moon, three sisters; Edith Pollick, Carolyn Mahurin and Becky Skidmore.
Services for Mildred Kavanagh will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m., Thursday.
