Freda Faye Kroenke Kos, 67 years old, of Girard, was born on October 7th 1948 and passed away at her home on November 23rd, 2015.
She was born in Girard, Kansas and is a graduate of Girard High School. She was an avid learner, a skilled seamstress, and she enjoyed many hobbies.
Freda received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MSSU in Joplin, Missouri.
She married Albin Bernard Kos, Sr., on June 24, 1991 in Paola, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2009.
Freda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She is survived by two daughters; April Dipman, and her husband, Ed, of Elk City Oklahoma, and Krista Swarnes of Nevada, Mo. Three sisters; Joy Holloway, and her husband, J.D., of Girard Kansas, Reta Baker, and her husband, Bill, of Ft. Scott, Kansas, and Janice Baker, and her husband, Charley, of Hepler, Kansas. Four brothers; Keith Kroenke of Bowling Green, Mo., Orville Kroenke, and his wife, Susie, of Iola Kansas, Robert Kroenke of St. Paul, Kansas, and Edward Kroenke of Gilmer, Texas; Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Albin Bernard Kos, Sr., and her parents, Oscar Walter and Ida Mae (Howell) Kroenke.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Bishop Grant Moss officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., Friday until service time.
Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday in the Fort Scott National Cemetery in Ft. Scott, Kansas.
