Earl Bredehoeft, 87, of Brazilton, Kansas, died at 9:05 a.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his residence in Brazilton.
He was born September 7, 1928 in Brazilton, a son of John C. and Dora (Imbusch) Bredehoeft. Earl grew up and attended schools in Brazilton and graduated from Girard High School.
He was a lifelong farmer and he grew up in the house that was built by his father.
Earl was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church near Hepler, Kansas; the Brazilton Volunteer Fire Department; past secretary of the Brazilton Ruritan Club.
Earl has several awards for Soil Conservation and raising livestock.
Survivors include his cousin, Mildred Boettjer of Girard and his second cousin, David Sandefur, and his wife, Annette, of Derby, Kansas.
Earl was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Bredehoeft; a sister, Iona K. Bredehoeft; cousins Dorothy Boettjer and Merlin Imbusch.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Hepler with Pastor Jay Hobson officiating. Burial will be in the Zion/Trinity Cemetery in Brazilton.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard.
