Anthony G.”Tony” Pride, 50, of Girard, died at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his residence in Girard.
Tony was born December 7, 1967 in Fort Scott, Kansas, a son of Tom and Barbara (Franklin) Pride. Tony grew up in Hepler and Girard and graduated from Girard High School.
Tony married Donna Hencey and they divorced, he married Angel Navinskey on March 20, 1997 and they divorced. He married Erika Peak on July 23, 1999 at Lavern’s Wedding Chapel in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives of the home.
Tony enjoyed his family, watching his children participate in sporting events, playing golf, fishing, camping, storm chasing, listening to the police scanner, Facebook, and aggravating people.
He attended Living Faith Nazarene Church at rural Girard.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Erika, of the home, are a son, Zakary Pride of Girard; his daughters, Brittnee Julian of Pittsburg; Ashley Pride, and her fiancé, Dalton Stalder, of Atchison, Kansas; MacKynze Pride of Girard; his mother of Girard; his brothers, Timothy Pride, and his wife, Yolanda, of Lyons, Kansas; Justin “Judd” Pride, and his wife, Amanda, of Girard; Jeremy Pride of Hays, Kansas; a sister, Michelle Raida, and her husband, Lynn, of Thayer, Kansas; his grandchildren, Madison Mae and Brody Anthony Wyatt; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Jamie.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard with Pastor Dale Samuels officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to his Children’s Education Fund and these may be left at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
