Fatal crash occurs in Arma

An Arma man was killed this morning in a car crash on the US69 bypass near Arma early this morning.

According to information presented on the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log site, Fred Bogina, 87, was eastbound on 640^th Avenue at approximately 8:38 a.m. when he failed to yield at an intersection. Bogina’s pickup collided with a northbound tractor trailer driven by Justin Horner, 27, of Kingman.

Bogina, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Horner was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the hospital with possible injuries.
