As one of the first steps in the City’s development of their Comprehensive Plan, the City of Girard will be hosting a Community Visioning Forum Monday, Dec. 5, at St. Michael’s Hall 6-7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to this open forum, which is the first of three the City has planned.
Regarding the forum, Girard City Administrator Chris Weiner said, “I hope to have a tremendous turnout at the forum Monday evening. This forum will shape the direction taken in the three following forums and will ultimately shape the direction our community takes over the course of the next two decades.”
He added that planning is a vital component to any successful organization or community.
“Without a planned vision and set of goals, we are wandering aimlessly and can only hope for success through sheer luck. Prosperity is the result of deliberate action; it is not achieved by accident. I hope we all go to bed Monday evening giddy with excitement for our vision of Girard’s future. Remember the wise proverb: ‘Always plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.’”
Sandwiches and refreshments will be served at the forum as well. We hope to see you there to take an active part in our community’s future!
