Obituary: Richard Joe Graham

Richard Joe Graham, 73, of Girard, died at 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2017 at his residence in Girard.

He was born May 29, 1943 in Fowler, Colorado, a son of Forest and Emma Jean (Sinding) Graham.

Richard attended schools in Colorado and the family moved to Kansas before he entered the US Army.

Richard owned and operated an antique shop in Bronson, Kansas and later he worked as a brick mason, he also lived in Texas before moving to Weir and then to Girard before retiring in 2002.

Richard was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and he enjoyed his family, visiting with people, reading western novels and he was an avid antique collector.

Survivors are his sons, Curtis “Corky” Graham, and his wife, Kristine, of Richland, Washington and Casey Graham, and his significant other, Kim Denton, of Fort Scott; 6 grandchildren; his brothers, Doug Graham and Danny Graham, both of Uniontown; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, April 13, at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
