Freeman hold ceremony for new Ft. Scott clinic

Freeman Health System held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new clinic in Fort Scott on March 6. Dr. Michael Zafuta, Freeman Orthopaedic Surgeon, sees patients at Freeman Fort Scott Clinic two days a month in addition to his practice in Pittsburg, Kan. Dr. Zafuta specializes in shoulder and knee surgery, sports medicine, general orthopaedic surgery and workers’ compensation.

Dr. Zafuta is the official team physician and medical director of the Pittsburg State University sports medicine program. Additionally, he serves as official team physician and sports medicine director for a number of southeast Kansas high schools, including Pittsburg, Girard, Southeast, Frontenac and Northeast.
